In a notable announcement during the 2024 mid-year fiscal policy review in Parliament on Tuesday, July 23, Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam revealed that the government plans to reintroduce road and bridge tolls in 2025. "Mr. Speaker, Cabinet has also granted approval for the disbursement of an additional 1.5 billion Ghana Cedis to settle outstanding claims relating to the financial management companies; the establishment of a framework for the reintroduction of Road and Bridge Tolls in 2025," he stated.
