In a significant disruption to healthcare services, all outpatient departments at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital have shut their doors in response to a nationwide strike by organized labour. This sudden closure leaves walk-in patients with no choice but to turn away, as they cannot receive medical attention.

Currently, the hospital is only providing care to patients who are already admitted. Outpatients, on the other hand, are being directed to exit the facility without receiving any services.

This situation stems from a widespread strike initiated by organized labour. Although there are reports indicating that the strike has been suspended, full resumption of services is yet to be seen as the workers and management align on the next steps.
